Benefits Of A Custom Closet Organizer

  • Organizing your closet will allow you to invest your time and energy in activities other than searching for an outfit
  • Closet organizers will allow you to save money by not accidentally buying duplicate items.
  • Orderly places calm the mind
  • Custom closets that are designed around your needs make organizing a snap

Organize Your Closet Storage Area Today

A typical reach-in closet organizer will feature separate areas for long-hang and short-hang items. Long-hang items are items like coats and dresses. Short-hang items are shirts, blouses, pants, skirts, and shorts. Keeping these items separated will allow you to assess your wardrobe quickly.

In the short-hang area of your closet, pants should hang above the shirts. This configuration distributes light on pants and shirts equally and makes color-coordinating an outfit easier. When shirts hang over pants, they can block light, making it more difficult to determine black pants from navy pants and espresso brown shoes from ebony shoes.

Drawers are another common feature in a well organized closet system. Jewelry drawers can keep your valuables isolated from the storage drawers, which are perfect for stowing undergarments and athletic wear.

If you want to rotate your sweaters, neatly folding them on a shelf as opposed to storing them in a drawer will let you see what you have and increase the likelihood you’ll wear them. Plus, keeping your sweaters on shelves will allow air to circulate through the fibers keeping the garments fresher. They are safer too! No hanger bumps. No stretching. No snags created by drawers.

Seasonal accessories are stored on the upper shelves where they are visible and accessible, but not in the way.
